Daily Tip: Make Forum Topics a Conversation with the bbPress Quotes Plugin

bbPress Quotes is a new plugin that adds a quote button to the end of topics and replies so users can quote each other in their responses. It automatically sends the contents of the reply into the comment area, wrapped in blockquote tags. Here’s a screenshot from the demo:

The plugin does not write any options to the database. It uses Javascript to grab the topic or reply content and push it into the reply box. The only requirement is that you’ll have to have Javascript enabled on the browser. In the future the pugin’s developer plans to add the ability to change how a quote is rendered.
