Daily Tip: Keep a Clean WordPress Uploads Folder by Deleting Unused Images

Many times while creating pages and posts a user will add images to the uploads folder that they end up not using. If you want to keep a clean uploads folder, from time to time you’ll want to delete all of your unused images.
The Upload Janitor plugin makes it really easy to backup and clean out your unused images.
This plugin will identify unused files within your uploads folder, and give you the option of archiving then deleting some or all of these files.
Before any action is taken, Upload Janitor will automatically make a ‘tar’ archive of all files to be erased, including their original paths, so you can restore if necessary.
Free up some of your disk space on your WordPress installations by beginning a new habit of cleaning your uploads folders.
Because this plugin/widget is provided free of charge, I simply ask you to link back to Pressography.com in a post on your blog, or from one of your sites. It doesn't need to be anything fancy - just a note saying that you're using it, and whether or not you like it.
