Daily Tip: Add a Humans.txt File to Your WordPress Site

Humans.txt files are are growing in popularity on the web right now. It’s a simple text file added to your root directory to tell the world about the humans who worked on that particular website. The new Humans Dot Txt plugin for WordPress makes it easy to add your own humans.txt file. After activating the plugin you can add any number of predefined tags to the humans.txt file template or extend it and create your own.
In an age when everyone is generating robots.txt files for the searchbots who crawl websites, the humans.txt adds a human touch to your website. After all, the internet is for humans, not robots.
Because this plugin/widget is provided free of charge, I simply ask you to link back to Pressography.com in a post on your blog, or from one of your sites. It doesn't need to be anything fancy - just a note saying that you're using it, and whether or not you like it. However, there is no requirement that you do this, you're free to use the plugin regardless.
