Introducing: Password Protect Selected Content

Sometimes you want to password protect some of your content but you don’t want to have to use a fully blown membership plugin to do so. A membership plugin, while awesome in many cases, might just be overkill when it comes to protecting sections of your post or your page.
WPMU DEV has developed a simple new plugin to password protect sections of your posts and pages without overdoing it.
Password Protect Selected Content lets you do just that – protect selected content. This includes text, images, video, links, whatever you should desire. Not only that, but the plugin can be used to hide information inside other shortcodes. This lets you protect video embeds and file download links.
After installing the plugin you’ll find the new protect content icon in your Visual Editor:
Input your post or page as usual. And select the content that you want to hide:
Add your password and watch the shortcode appear around the selected text:
Save as usual, and here it is:
A simple and elegant solution to a problem that many of our users have come up against.

Because this plugin/widget is provided free of charge, I simply ask you to link back to Pressography.com in a post on your blog, or from one of your sites. It doesn't need to be anything fancy - just a note saying that you're using it, and whether or not you like it. However, there is no requirement that you do this, you're free to use the plugin regardless.
