Daily Tip: New Plugin Offers BuddyBar Links in a Widget for BuddyPress

If you’re not a fan of the default BuddyBar for BuddyPress, you’ll want to install this new plugin that allows you to place the same links in the sidebar as a widget. The BuddyBar Widget, pictured in this post, includes the following features:
- When a user is not logged in, the widget shows a login form (with a link to the registration page at the bottom)
- When a user is logged in, it shows all the links a user would need to manage their account
- Multiple Instances are possible
If you have only the extended profiles enabled on your BuddyPress site, then the widget will be a simplified version. If you have all of the BuddyPress components enabled, you’ll see the full version of the menu with links related to each component.
The BuddyBar Widget is available for download for free from the WordPress plugin repository.
Because this plugin/widget is provided free of charge, I simply ask you to link back to Pressography.com in a post on your blog, or from one of your sites. It doesn't need to be anything fancy - just a note saying that you're using it, and whether or not you like it. However, there is no requirement that you do this, you're free to use the plugin regardless.
